Locality:Late Cretaceous Formation, Fox Hills, South Dakota
Description:Fossilized scaphites cheyennensis in sandstone matrix. The scaphites has a natural iridescence from the original mother-of-pearl shell lining. It appears the shell separated, but was frozen in position slightly shifted.
Overall Size:8x5x5 cm
Crystals:6 cm fossil
